Adults Hub: In-Person Group Meeting
Updated Monday 10 January, 2022
Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the Melbourne metropolitan area, the Group Leader and the AV Admin team have made the difficult decision to move the Adults Group meetings back to an online-only format for the moment.
Registrations for the substitute online meeting scheduled for January 20 are now open.
About the Adults Group
Our Adults Group is for older members of the Aspergers autistic community and those with other similar neurodiverse profiles. It is more suitable for those who are aged 35 years and over, although younger adults are welcome to join in. (Young adults may prefer to attend our Young Adults group meetings as well as or instead of this group.)
This month, we are returning to Power Neighbourhood House for the first time in a very long time.
About our Group Leaders
This session is facilitated by the Group Leader, Colin: email@example.com. All AV volunteer group leaders share the lived experience of their group participants and welcome new attendees. All AV group leaders have a Working with Children Check.
Cost: $10 for AV members, $15 for non-members.
Become an AV member today to access discounted tickets for groups and events, other members-only programs, and to support all the wonderful work our volunteers and staff team do for our community.
If you are attending an AV group for the first time, you are welcome to register for free using our first-time attendee ticket. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to access this.
If cost is a barrier, please contact Jenni: email@example.com.
Do I need to register?
All attendees to AV's online and in-person groups and events must register before attending. For Zoom meetings, you need to register to access the Zoom details. For in-person meetings, registration is required due to DHHS COVID contact tracing requirements.

What can I expect when I attend an AV COVIDSafe event?
AV is closely following the COVID-19 requirements outlined by the Victorian Government and our in-person events have changed to comply with these.
Restrictions in Victoria have changed as of 19 November 2021, and we recommend reading this information sheet issued by the Victorian Government. It outlines the current DHHS requirements at venues for attendees, including checking in, vaccination, distancing, and masks.
If you have questions about the event, about AV, or need assistance with registering, please contact Jenni: please call 0480 385 710 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
