World of work - Employment Support

Teens work know how program

At Aspergers Victoria (AV) we believe that our early career experiences build our life foundations. During COVID we have pivoted our World of Work programs to be online.

This pilot program provides teens in our community with a pathway to understand themselves, the world of work, and with that their job readiness, in a way that is positive, empowering, practical and geared towards their individual learning styles.

Participants will leave with more career understanding, self-confidence and some useful tools to help map out their own future in work.

Participants will take part in two components of our Virtual Work Know How Program:

1. Training Component - Job Readiness Workshops

2. Interview and Practical Work Placement Project

Parent / guardian briefings are included as well so they can support progress. This Program is designed to align with the Department of Education requirements for work experience, adapted for COVID restrictions.

Our final program for 2021 starts in August. We already have a waiting list for our April 2022 program so please register your interest today!

Please complete our Expression of Interest Form or email Sofia at programs@aspergersvic.org.au if you are interested in taking part in our Teens Work Know How Sessions in 2022.
