Partners Group - HYBRID MEETING
In-Person Registration
Topic: Creating boundaries - continuing our Self-Care theme
Join our Partners Peer Support Group to meet other adults who are or who have been in a relationship with someone who has Aspergers, is autistic, or has a similar neurodiverse profile. Sharing experiences within the safe environment of our peer support meetings can be a lifeline, and sharing with people who have similar lived experience is validating and often educational. Your partner may be self-diagnosed or have a formal diagnosis, and you may share a household or live separately. We are an inclusive group and welcome partners of all genders and relationship types.
This month, we are continuing our Self-Care theme by discussing how we can best create and maintain boundaries. We will meet at 7pm online and in person for a 7.30pm meeting start.
This session is facilitated by our Partners group leaders: partners@aspergersvic.org.au. All AV volunteer group leaders share the lived experience of their group participants and welcome new attendees.
Hybrid Event
In July, we are trying something new for this group: a hybrid event.
We will run two meetings at the same time on the same evening, but in different formats.
- an online event via Zoom
- an in-person event at Power Neighbourhood House, Ashwood
Our Partners Group Leaders aim to link participants joining via the Zoom meeting into the in-person meeting and we will do our best to make this happen on the night.
How do I register for the right event?
- I want to attend the in-person event at Power Neighbourhood House in Ashwood: click the "Register" button on the left and complete the registration form
- I want to attend the online event via Zoom: follow this link to register for the online event
Do I need to register?
All attendees to AV's online and in-person groups and events must register before attending. For Zoom meetings, you need to register to access the Zoom details. For in-person meetings, registration is required due to DHHS COVID contact tracing and venue capacity limits.

What can I expect when I attend an AV COVIDSafe event?
AV is closely following DHHS COVID-19 requirements and our in-person events have changed to comply with these. We encourage you to read our AV COVIDSafe plan before you attend in-person events at AV in 2021. This includes important information about our QR code check-in system and what you need to bring with you to an event. As the venue capacity is reduced and spaces are limited, please register if you would like to attend to ensure you don't miss out.
Please note that due to DHS COVIDSafe guidelines, there will be no refreshments provided by AV at this event. Participants are welcome to bring their own refreshments if they choose, however these must not be shared.
Please note that DHS advice may change and we will do our best to communicate any changes in AV COVID-19 policy to our community.
If you have questions about registration, our COVIDSafe policy or would like more information, please contact our admin team: admin@aspergersvic.org.au
