Eastern Parents & Carers Peer Group Meeting


This month we have a guest from Carers Victoria coming to run their 2 hour information session about NDIS.  This session is designed specifically for carers and will cover: 

  • What is NDIS
  • How will NDIS differ from the current system?
  • Who is eligible for support?
  • What does it mean for carers?
  • Where to now..what can you do?
  • Q&A

About Eastern Group:

This group is a place for Parents, Grandparents and Carers (of a person with Aspergers or High Functioning Autism) to meet, share their experiences and support each other. 

A range of parents attend, including those with children of varying ages from toddlers through to young adults. The group is structured/facilitated to allow opportunity for all attendees to talk if they wish (except this month the NDIS session will take up the whole meeting time). Attendance varies from month to month, and it's great to talk to others who have been through similar challenges. 

Cost:  Free to Aspergers Victoria members, or first time attendees doing a trial.
