World of work - Employment Support

Our autistics have amazing but often hidden strengths that can be uncovered with the right supports and understanding. Support with employment is critical for our autistics so they can thrive at work and deliver these strengths.  We have programs we have codesigned with our autistic community's input and are delivered by those with autistic lived experience. Our team understands your strengths, needs and challenges. Our World Of Work programs are strengths-based, designed to support autistics to grow career options and understanding and a targeted model for job seekers, employers and employees. Our programs provide autistics with strategies, self understanding and tools to positively engage in the world of work. These are not therapy or deficit based.

Teens work knowhow program (ILC funded)

At Aspergers Victoria  we believe that our early career experiences build our life foundations. This needs to start with work experience in our teens.

Our Teen Work KnowHow program provides teens in our community with a pathway to understand themselves and the world of work. They develop job readiness skills, in a way that is positive, empowering, practical and geared towards their individual learning styles. They also receive supported work experience within the existing schools program.  For more details visit our dedicated webpage here

Participants will leave with more career understanding, self-confidence and some useful tools to help map out their own future in work.

We will be offering work experience placements  in the school holidays of July and September 2023.
