North-East Parents & Carers Support Group - Edendale Farm
Our North-East Parents & Carers group is an in-person peer support meeting open to all parents & carers of Aspergers / autistic children, teens or adults to meet, chat, exchange ideas and find support. We are now returning to in-person meetings for this group, and while things have changed a little due to COVIDSafe requirements, we will do our best to make the transition as smooth as possible for our community.
This session is facilitated by Rebecca, our North-East Parents & Carers Group Leader: northeastparents@aspergersvic.org.au. All AV volunteer group leaders share the lived experience of their group participants and welcome new attendees. All AV group leaders have a Working with Children Check.
We also have two other Parents & Carers group meetings.
Our online group meets monthly via Zoom and is facilitated by Jenny: adultparentsupport@aspergersvic.org.au
Our Southern group meets monthly in person in the Hampton area: southern@aspergersvic.org.au

What can I expect when I attend an AV COVIDSafe event?
AV is closely following DHHS COVID-19 requirements and our in-person events have changed to comply with these. We encourage you to read our Aspergers Victoria COVID Safe Plan - April 2021.pdf before you attend in-person events at AV in 2021. This includes important information about our QR code check-in system and what you need to bring with you to an event. As the venue capacity is reduced and spaces are limited, please register if you would like to attend to ensure you don't miss out.
Please note that due to DHHS COVIDSafe guidelines, there will be no refreshments provided by AV at this event. Participants are welcome to bring their own refreshments if they choose, including a water bottle.
Please note that DHHS advice may change and we will do our best to communicate any changes in AV COVID-19 policy to our community.
If you have questions about registration, our COVIDSafe policy or would like more information: contact Jenni (AV Admin) via admin@aspergersvic.org.au
