Volunteer quote: “I just love volunteering with AV, it is like family and is the best thing for me.” Liz
Our Group Leaders need assistants to help with administration at group meetings. If you have people and organisational skills, we need you.
Are you interested in helping plan and provide our informative seminars to the Aspergers community across the year? If you have organisational and communication skills, then we need you!
We really need HELP in monitoring and responding to our enquiry email account. With email skills you would sort and forward admin account emails by remote access and support the Board with some admin. You can develop the role to suit you!
PUBLIC RELATIONS SUPPORT
Do you have experience in PR? Could you provide on-going help? We need help drafting press releases, writing short articles, and building AV’s relationships with media and stakeholders.
WEBSITE or CRM UPDATE PROJECT
Are you skilled with Squarespace? We are currently revising our database systems and webpage content and need help updating our website. Just a few hours each week would support our Technology Coordinator.
FUNDING TEAM PROJECT WORK
This team covers several roles including grants, funding, organising sponsors for events and fundraising and reports to the Fundraising Coordinator. If you have any funding knowledge and are enthusiastic, please email us!
AD HOC ROLES
We have lots of small projects you can help with – if you can help in any way we can possibly make a role to suit – we are flexible. Just let us know your skills and what you would like to do and we will find you a role!
This important Board role involves preparing the meeting agenda, attending monthly board meetings, taking minutes, and collating monthly reports. Other tasks include organising the AGM, updating contact lists, ACNC reports and collecting mail. This role requires approximately 10 hours per month. As a Board member you will have the opportunity to influence and build AV’s capacity to meet member needs while developing a stronger organisation. If you are organised, have basic computer skills and are interested in this role, please contact us.
This Board role manages new and renewing memberships, as well as member queries, emails our stakeholder database. This role could involve development of a basic CRM to email stakeholders. It requires computer, organisational and people skills.
Our current Treasurer is retiring at our next AGM (Oct/Nov), so we need time for handover training for this critical Board role. Duties will include: monthly and annual financial reporting to the Board, coordinating and delivering the annual budget, arranging Internet banking payments and bank signatories. The Treasurer also maintains financial records (MYOB, Excel, Google Docs), supervises the bookkeeping assistant, and co-ordinates with the ‘auditor’ volunteer for annual review.
PLEASE NOTE: Board roles require a commitment until our AGM in October, when all positions become vacant.
To apply for a role with AV, we need you to complete our Volunteer Application Forms. For copies of these forms, and for more details, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can call you to discuss our recruitment process, which includes an interview.
